From 1969 to 1976, Audrey owned and operated Viking Aero Service at the famed Van Nuys Airport in the San Fernando Valley, where she was the Chief Flight Instructor, Director of Operations, as well as an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner.

She flew her first Powder Puff Derby (All Woman's Transcontinental Air Race) in 1958; she then flew seven more as a contestant and the last one in 1976 as a member of the AWTAR Board.

In 1979, she became an Air Safety Investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, CA. In 1987 she transferred to the FAA at Van Nuys, CA as an Operations Inspector.
