Does Hillside Aviation rent airplanes?
Yes! Hillside Aviation offers 3 aircraft for rent; 2 Cessna 172's and a Piper Arrow IV.
What do I have to do to rent an airplane from Hillside Aviation?
The basic requirements are simple. Along with a current medical certificate, you will also need a "checkout" with one of our CFI's, which will include takeoffs, landings and air work.
The "checkout" will also include orientation with the local flying area and the POH (Pilot Operating Handbook.) If not current (i.e. 3 takeoffs and landing within the preceding 90 days,) this is something that can be completed at the time of the checkout.
There are also further requirements for the rental of our complex aircraft (Piper Arrow IV). Once completed, your name and qualifications will be entered into our database, which will allow us to dispatch the aircraft for you.
Will Hillside Aviation let me take an airplane for a couple of days?
Yes! All of our aircraft are available for extend trips; there is a minimum charge for each day the aircraft is away, please contact Hillside Aviation for full details.
What about insurance?
Hillside Aviation's policy extends limited coverage to the renter; therefore, Hillside Aviation strongly encourages its rental customers to have non-ownership aircraft liability coverage.
